Sophie Valcourt
Sophie is an emerging filmmaker, native from the Côte-Nord region and a graduate of Concordia University's Film Production program. Although she hasn't lived there for 9 years, her native region remains one of her greatest inspirations. Memories, landscapes and people are at the heart of her creative universe. As the region is often portrayed through a tourist's eye, Sophie seeks to offer a more intimate portrait and let the heart of the territory shine through its inhabitants.
